She doesn’t explicitly say Gucci Mane, but that’s pretty clearly the rapper from Atlanta she’s describing in her purposely vague enough example. (via TSS)
What I learned in Texas
If it is nighttime and you are in your house you can shoot someone and not go to jail.
About 10 years ago I was having my annual holiday party, and my niece had come with her newly minted M.B.A. boyfriend. As he looked around the room, he noted that my employees seemed happy. I told him that I thought they were. Then, figuring I would take his new degree for a test drive, I asked him how he thought I did that. “I’m sure you treat them well,” he replied. “That’s half of it,” I said. “Do you know what the other half is?” He didn’t have the answer, and neither have the many other people that I have told this story. So what is the answer? I fired the unhappy people.

I think it was Predictably Irrational that had a chapter about people who are unlucky vs. people that feel they are lucky. In the end a lucky person is someone with no greater luck but just one who focusses on the positive and not the negative.
(via siminoff)What changed me was Larry Brown. He is a guy who doesn’t understand anything, a guy who can’t understand what kind of player you are. Even if I made a shot, he’d tell me it was not a good shot.

Never has every member in one crew been so diverse.
There is some irony to be found in a track called “Shine Blockers” drawing attention away from the brilliance of this, the other other single from Big’s forever in limbo Sir Luscious Latefoot. Hopefully this video helps this song get the accolades it deserves.
And maybe a release date for the album would be nice as well.

I believe one day we’ll look back on chronic disease medications we’re supposed to take every day for decades and finally realize that reductionist medicine via a simple pill never really worked.
The competent programmer is fully aware of the limited size of his own skull. He therefore approaches his task with full humility, and avoids clever tricks like the plague.
